It's Been A While.

I haven’t written here in a long time. Not because I didn’t want to. I think I just didn’t have the capacity. The last couple of years have been… a lot. Financially. Politically. Emotionally. And not just for me—for our entire community.
There were moments where I felt like I was just trying to keep things afloat. My business. My life. Myself. And when you’re in that space, writing doesn’t always feel accessible. Even when you have a lot to say.
I think I was also burnt out. From building. From pushing. From trying to make something work in systems that don’t always support us being here in the first place.
So I stopped. Or maybe I paused. I don’t know if there’s a difference, but it felt necessary. I’ve been writing on this blog since 2015. And I didn’t expect there to be such a long gap. But looking back, it makes sense.
Sometimes you’re not in a place to reflect while you’re in it. You’re just… in it.
I don’t really have a big statement about “coming back.” I’m not trying to commit to a schedule or pretend I’ve figured everything out. I just know I want to start sharing again.
Whatever that looks like.
Some of it might be about design.
Some of it might be about what I’m navigating.
Some of it might not be fully formed.
But it’ll be real. That feels like enough right now.
